| Hi, I use bc. My ip was dynamic and I had everything working properly . I just moved and was sad to find out that my ip was now static . I would now like to use proxxies to make my bc work. I have a good source, they work. I activate the proxie and go to http://www.whatismyip.com and check to make sure it is different. It is. When I run bc though, it says that my ip is already used. It displays my static ip. Not what the proxie gives me. What am I doing wrong/forgetting? Please help...someone | |

| I think your problem is BC and proxies don't work together. Proxies are for manual pupiling. | |

| Proxi helps y just to create pupils manualy, it's like a shield that protects your pc when you self in internet with your browser. You can't use proxy with BC, it doesn't work. | |

| Actually BC can be used thru proxies. You just need some program which is able to change proxies (without web browser). | |

Any program that can change proxies, like I said. I don't anymore remember name of the program I used before my dynamic connection, but there should be many of them. Using BC thru proxies is slow and only semi-automatic, so it takes lot of time in front of computer... It usually isn't worth the effort and that's why I stopped doing that.

Could I do it like this? -------------------------- 1. get a proxie 2. manually input the proxie 3. start bc 4. make 1 batch of pupils 5. close bc 6. disable proxie 7. delete temp. internet files/cookies 8. get a new proxie 9. start with number (2)

| I think it would be easier to use proxies without BC. | |

Could I do it like this? -------------------------- 1. get a proxie 2. manually input the proxie 3. start bc 4. make 1 batch of pupils 5. close bc 6. disable proxie 7. delete temp. internet files/cookies 8. get a new proxie 9. start with number (2) 1. Yes, you need a working proxy. 2. Yes, you need to manually input it. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. 5. No, you don't necessarily need to close BC if your delay is fit with your proxy program. 6. Yes, you need to disable used proxy and change a new one. 7. No, you don't need a web browser at all!

Yes, you need a program. You can't put proxy directly to BC.
