Hybrid ninja

This is the result of an experiment :



I wanted to know how good my strengh brute would be if I tried the hybrid way. (shuri + another weapon)
To be a ninja is somewhat limited and you need at least to have thief/martial arts at some point.
Shuri is interesting because potentially illimited but the more weapons you have the more it will be useless.

Consequently, I decided to try to keep just 2 weapons (in fact I have glaive before shuri so I didn't really have a choice )
The main advantage of this strategy is that "common weapons" have a bigger probability to go out first so she generally starts with the glaive.
Furthermore, I did not totally discard the strengh freak who lives in its body and marteau-pilon can force me to drop my shuri.
In this new path, Seung had sang chaud lvl 12 and it's quite nice to wake up early

The first results are quite encouraging with 19-20 matchs a day.

The last guy who beats Seung loses after in final. These matchs are interesting because these brutes are good and thiefs are basically a bad match for her.

not bad for a start at lvl13 but the thing with hammer technic realy sucks

but still the idea is bad to have the glaive with sang chaud.
knife or sai would be the perfect 2nd weapon because they increase the speed at the start incredably.

You have never read or notice that when you have a rare weapon, let's say halberd, the probability to take it is not the same as the knife ..?

Well, I would like to see the hammer technic between 2 shuris but it is not possible.

I agree that a knife or a sai would be more interesting with sang chaud. Nice Ricogirls by the way. :) But I wasn't expecting the sang chaud ability for her^^.

On the other hand the glaive is more defensive, if I have a shield in the future, it could be more interesting. It is just a little kitty who won +3 agility this morning thanks to the tourney.
Quite odd, I wasn't as happy as Xteen in this case

and he might party all night long and get realy drunk just for getting Feline

I wonder how would he react for an untouch ability?

This is not bad provided you get something else to back up the glaive and make it effective. Glaive by itself is pretty boring, but +shield it's much better, +maitre it's way better, +contre it's quite nice and + all three makes you a really great brute. I hesitate to use the term 'ninja' when it has anything but throwing weapons, but clearly the marteau-pilon is worth keeping and if so, you might as well not be a ninja. And if my theory is right that strength increases parry blocking, it could be somewhat effective on its own.

I have a ninja brute who gets flail at level 16, he's a pretty good ninja up to that point but as he advances he runs into more and more brutes who disarm him and beat him. Perfect time to stop being a ninja and become a flail whacker!

Otherwise, I kinda agree with Rico, glaive is not the best second weapon -- either take something that's fast with your sang-chaud or something big with your strength. But I bet it's fun to start with glaive, drop the marteau-pilon, and finish with the stars!

Yeah, she's really fun to play. You could say that she's a means to counterbalance kitty's boredom.
But she's not a model, as you underlined.

For me, she's something like an investment in an internet start-up or a new biotechnology. It's an innovative product but we do not know yet if it's a failure or a revolution.

i wish MT can explain to us how and when and why the Glaive somtimes behaive this way. and plz no one tell me this is a lucky seed because i see this alot

Mighty glaive indeed. The way I understand the 6th-sense counter strike is this: you get a chance to counter a brute's attack as long as your weapon is longer. The 6th sense skill adds 10% to this, so if you have it you have 10% chance of countering attacks with weapons of the same length, and a better chance when you have a longer weapon. This chance is boosted further if you are armed and your opponent is not.

Short weapons are fists, knife, sai, mug, fan, throwing weapons.

Next longer are glaive, mammoth, scimitar, leek, racket, axe, etc.

Longer than that are club, morningstar, pan, flail, hammer, etc.

Longer still are epee, lance, trident, baton, trombone, etc.

Longest weapons are halberd and whip.

In addition to all this, some weapons give specific bonuses to countering. Big bonuses for halberd, whip, baton, trident, lance. Small bonuses for trombone, club, glaive, leek. There is probably a stat that affects it too, most likely speed and possibly agility.

So if you're attacking someone with a halberd and 6th sense, you will almost always get countered. If you have a weapon, that chance gets smaller, and the longer your weapon, the less advantage your opponent has. Steal their halberd and you will counter them when they attack, but not as often if you don't also have 6th sense. (This morning I was in a halberd vs. whip fight, my whip countered once because of 6th sense and the halberd did not counter me at all.)

This "glaive mastery" was a lucky one even if I had a longer weapon than my opponent.

He wasn't extraordianary but my match wasn't perfect too (no pilon which costs me a tourney^^) and his speed was a lot better than mine. Seung doesn't seem to digest well the noodles with the bowl^^.
