Taking broadsword is a good option? Why? On my brutes I avaoid weapons like that... o.O It would be much easier to take at least one... like broadsword, knife, hatchet. They are quite common...

Broadsword is good afther both shield and contre, because is a good blocking weapon, and afther a block your brute will conter-attack

I love having shields because broadsword is a very common weapon and not great without a shield. So it feels that when I get my hands on a shield, there's a good chance I can get a weapon before long (ie the broadsword).

Even without counter, I think broadsword has a really good blocking rate with shield.

In any case, what sorts of priorities should I go after in terms of stats?

Iwould say agility agility endurance :)

Why not take reconaissance?

Because it sucks without first strike. You'll act like a statue with the -200% initiative and will be an easy target.

I dunno. I always use net as my branching option :)

It can be helpful but most cases it is not. Bears and wolfs are rare, and lots of people having them also have dogs (so net can be wasted on dog). And apart from maybe few low levels - dor isnt really a threat for an average brute...

Unless you have some good slow wepon + fierce brute - then when the combo (net-fiercebrute-slowhighdmgweapon) hits it can be deadly straight away... But the chances of that combo arent that high (even if you have skills and weapon needed).
So I find net a good addition if you dont have anything better, but it is not also the thing that would hurt you if you refuse it... Lets see what hides further in your brute destiny

I'm in sword swallower and up there that statement is extremely wrong... Before my brute is 13-14 and in my opinion is really strong I don't know which opponent to take. Every one (that's how it feels like) has a wolf there...

It is because people create multiaccounts and stick to the best destiny brutes. Moreover such brutes with wolf/bear are great to levelup at low levels - so those people levelup and rank up much faster than others. That does not change the fact that net in comparison to cry of the damned or even better - hypnosis - seems not that good, does it? The one thing good with it is that it is pretty common (and for some people it is not a factor really - they would just go and create some more accunts to get what they want).

If the game would consist of community that would not cheat - this statement would be true... and it is true on lower ranks where are more people going slower because they stick to the destinies they were randomly given to them (because they created only one account) - and you have much more chance to get average brute or bad brute than to get some great one with great weapon or good pet at the low levels... So you just live in the different world that has its own rights... for us all gray people that go slower - net does not seem like a good choice - and for a few of my brutes choosing net at low levels was a hughe drawback. Sorry, it is How I see it from where I stand. Since it is for helping Cilla - the owner of a brute should decide what is more true to them. Cilla has shield and broadsword so taking one bad choice may not be such big deal, but in most fights (ok I will add - on lower ranks) net as a skill is a wasted one - does not give you any advantage... statistically speaking if you dont have spy to check out your enemies...

And I think that environment on those high ranks would change in time because more and more different destinies will come with accounts that choose not to cheat.

And bears/wolfs are rare. You cannot say they are not! The thing you are experiencing is only because of multiaccounts... In this acase anyone who doesnt create dozens of account and stick only with the great supreme brutes with bear/wolf great weapon, good skills combos have to be handicapped. So we dont have few great lucky brutes. We have dozens/hundreds of them.

But even when you grow slower there'll come the time you'll meet more of them. Net is a good choice imo (if it's part of a good build)

I've created 3 accounts btw (allowed because nr. 2 and 3 are for the children of my sister- it's just that I took the best one for me because they don't care- they prefer the looks )
