This topic will be dedicated to a big kitty I love sooo much. 🐱

First, let's talk about her history. I created her one week after the launch of muxxu. (one of friends told me about it) I waited for 2 days to have a good outfit^^. I was quite surprised to have "hello kitty" free indeed. I had given up the old version of the game because I was tired with raising brutes and the hacking.
Hello Kitty is ironically my very first brute in muxxu.

... but it hasn't always been the case.
During its first 2 ranks, she was a proud kitty knight.

Her first path was :
2 persev
3 glaive
4 armor
5 vita
This is the "main path". Then she had more str than today, an épée, a bowl of noodles (kitty hungry) and a bear (kitty loves animals) level 16.

During the third rank, I decided to take a subpath. The choice of level 6 was the bad club vs some stat. I wanted to test this weapon because it seems to me "less worse" than in the past and I had perseverance. The level just after I got immortal... :queen:

The main path is today :

6 bad club
7 immortal
8 spear
9 net
10 knife
11 tornade de coups
12 +2 hp + 1spd
13 +2 hp + 1 str
14 +3 hp
15 sai
16 choc

But, before I was thinking. " I have 2 in str. Fuck the knife. I have to avoid it" So I tried but the choice were very poor.
At some point, I refused the knife then accepts it (keeps coming 3 times at least) and I had a shield. Then nothing extraordinary until a trident lvl 16 or 17. By curiosity, during the next rank, I took the first knife they proposed to me. And I ended up wining lvl 13 (poing d'acier I think).
The tornade resulted in a better balance between offense and defense whereas the shield keeps falling because opponents attack kitty a lot.
After, one rank upper, I won the tourney at sai (lvl 15). After I had some opportunity to explore :

17 +3 STR vs + 2hp +1 spd
18 THICK SKIN vs some stat

And more recently, I won hemo tourney lvl 19

19 BATON vs +3 agi
I thought I just needed one more weapon to win the tourney and that was the case :

I decided to keep the same path until lvl 16 but I am not sure after. 3 -> 6 str is good and so is thick skin. I am not sure about the baton; maybe time to take some non hp/str stats.

what happens if you don't take spear at level 8? none of the skills you get from level 8-15 are really really essential (sai+choc are cool, and 3 health choices in a row is nice, but are they really worth it for her?). That is definitely the place where I would explore first at this point. It's really too bad that you have to take club Sad

But if you refuse spear early... who knows, you could get Implacable or tet de fer or Herc Str and stone hammer and other really mean stuff Twisted Evil ...or get choc and sai even earlier

I haven't tried to take a subpath at lvl 8 (spear). I like spear a lot. It has a lot of good qualities and opponents have the bad habit to keep hitting my brute.

If we analyse in detail lvl 8 to 15,
- net is my main weapon towards pets and may be useful to have a sure hit (with the club for ex)
- The knife doesn't have a lot of value added. My brute is not very accurate but she makes up with persev.
- tornade de coups is very interesting and makes up for my lack of offense power (+20% chance to give another hit). It combines well with persev. (underated skill for me)
- hp stats are very good +3 hp = almost 100 hp
- sai is a very good weapon (nothing much to debate)
- choc is "the stone which stabilizes the pyramid" (kitty with it becomes an elite brute)

You may not find these levels essential but they at least give the basis for an excellent/polyvalent brute. And you know that perfection is an abstraction.

I wonder if it will be a good idea to take an incertain subpath this early whereas I already know a very good path and I just have 3 possibilities remaining to explore my destiny.

Club is mandatory yeah, as you can see. Sometimes, it is quite fun to give it to a thief/to be the only ? brute in the top with it. And it has a good armor penetration.

I'm glad you explained all this about HK, it's very interesting and I'm having trouble disagreeing with any of your choices!

Yes, it sucks to have the massue, but perseverant cures its main ill, and it's definitely worth it to get immortal (not to mention priceless when a thief steals it I'm sure). I also agree that the spear is a good weapon for this brute who will always be slow and will need it against pets and contre brutes; the net is also essential, I think. No way would I diverge before level 9.

Knife is a more difficult proposition -- like you said earlier, she'll never do much damage with it, and she gets sai later on. But it sure doesn't hurt. And tornado is absolutely essential for a low-stat brute, no argument there. Your stat boosts all reinforce endurance and sai and choc do indeed make this brute. I bet you laugh at ninjas and thieves. For those who don't get it, the big-picture strategy here is to get rid of your opponent's weapons and pets and let them wear themselves out on your endurance. Classic asymmetrical brute.

After that, it's kind of academic -- if it were me, I'd be curious what is behind the level 17 path, since it'll get you another bucket of defense. Peau is not bad, though, since it effectively does the same thing.

Only at level 19 would I change anything. I don't see how the baton adds much besides a little blocking ability; you won't hurt anyone with it and it's better for thieves than for you. On the other hand, agility reinforces your tornado, your knife, your sai, and your accuracy with everything, even if you won't be dodging much with it. So my advice would be to take that agility and see where it goes.

Great minds think alike Very Happy

Basically, I hate ninjas until lvl 15-16. Then they are kitty's feast. Even Ludo <3 who may be the best ninja. Thief, it depends what they have with it. And do not forget kitty is kind of lazy and does not dodge too much, even a club.

I feel the same about the choices. My intention is to keep this path and take +3 agi lvl 19 and continue exploring until lvl 25 even if I won the tourney.
And in the next rank, I will perhaps, depending on the results, test the subpath lvl 17 (+ 2 hp + 1 spd)

So far so bad... I will have no problem winning the tourney in the short term once some brutes go to biceps but I would like something interesting at least.

The baton is sure a curse.Evil or Very Mad

Today, I was defeated by Truque (lvl 25) in the second turn who won the tourney after.
I am really not lucky against this brute.

Gah! Truque won? That's terrible, I beat her every day without fail. I would've been there but once again I didn't get to the join button in time and now I'm 7th in line for the next one. This sucks having to jump in the tourney right at 6:00 PM when I'm basically commuting home from work. And tonight I've got something else to do and I won't be home in time again, so if I don't win this tourney I'll miss another one!

Time for analysis. It shouldn't be allowed to put under stress such a poor kitty 🐱 but it can't be helped.

lvl 19 : baton VS +3 agi
lvl 20 : +3 spd VS +2 str +1 spd
lvl 21 : baton VS +3 str
vl 22 : baton vs +3 end
lvl 23 : +3 end vs +2 spd +1 agi
lvl 24 : +3 spd vs +2 agi +1 spd

Crappy bloody path as you can see in red. Let's analyze the effects of stats first.

- End : always good +3 end = almost 100 hps (but gives a feeling that your kitty is a bigger punchingball and opponents are more excited to hit this poor kitty)
- Str : good -> knife, sai and club have a very big strengh factor in the calculation of damages. Overall, hitting harder is always good, it's one of the few things I do better than MissCat.
- Agi : really good (I don't say that to please Xteen) but it improves my very bad accuracy (especially to hit agi freaks Wink) and works well with tornado. You will laugh but, with a little, I can dodge my own club when it gets stolen.
- Spd : good but clearly less interesting stat, I just need a little to avoid multicombohitman who comes back. Even if I had frappe éclair, I don't think I would take it because of the -25 % malus by immortal combined with the -10% by armour.

Now, the main abilities that would be really interesting (in order of priority) :
- martial arts (no brainer) : best skill in the game IMO
- 6th sense : I'am almost sure that a mix of agi and spd help to counter because, even with the spear, Kitty doesn't do much.
- stats abilities, especially herculean strengh and feline agility (MissCat has feline... *Kitty jealous*)
- then a lot of things like thief, pugnace, MOA, shield, counter, tete de fer, squelette, potion tragique...

Concerning the weapons, a lot of things too, especialy some which deal deadly damages.

Next time, I will take a subpath lvl 17 by taking +2 end+1spd instead of +3 str. 2 levels earlier than in hemo then.

That sounds like a good place for you to change the path. You miss peau, which is a great skill for you, but you partly make up for it by taking that +2 endurance. Let's recall that armor and peau do nothing against ninjas or bombs, but ~60 hp does a lot!

The other option I can see would be to take peau and grab the baton at level 19. I know, we all told you not to! But it's a good defensive weapon, it helps with disarming, and it's great if someone steals it from you. 🐘

Since you never advanced beyond that in hemo, you might be able to get past it now. But you're right that there's more upside potential with diverging at level 17, immediately after your last indispensable skill. Grizz would approve.

Against ninjas, the only real remedy is my perseverance and choc.
Bombs ? O_o I don't give a damn about marteau-pilon and bombs. It tickles a little bit.

I tought about taking baton lvl 19. It's not the best but not an handicap either because Kitty's the better the more weapons she has. That's a fact. That's why I took it as a first choice in hemo.

But I am kind of tired with leveling up for leveling up. The earlier I can have a new beautiful christmas present the better. 🐱 Then... lvl 17 !

And you forget one thing, around 60 hps AND 1pt in spd ( spd x 2 !!!!).
🐘 sure run fast...

Kitty misses her. I haven't seen her in training for a long time.

I hate to admit that but, as things are, lvl 22 she's better than me. She hasn't recovered martial arts and a little more strengh and hp yet. She has so many good abilities but my Kitty is better balanced (thanks to perseverant and tornade). Kitty can't help but be jealous of her. :oops:

Vil flatteur ! I didn't know your expression " to hold a candle.." It's nice. Well it's not as if english were my mother tongue.

lvl 19 : still stat choices +3 str VS +2 hp +1 spd

I decided I have enough hp (already more than Katgirl anyway) and took the strengh.
7 in strengh now... It's hard to be immortal but what's quite fun to notice is that just a little of no hp stats increase exponentialy her potential. Still need to triple my agility to kick a little less the air^^.

I finally manage somehow to destroy 2/3 of AngeLudo's hp who is my benchmark.
The top 10 is not just a word. I didn't manage to beat one of them...

You could say I did not call her the queen of the kitties for nothing.

Yeah I have to confess that Katgirl is not my main objective for the moment. I just want to kick Tanya's ass because our matchs are becoming more and more evenly balanced.

Bend space-time... Good program but I don't want Kitty to be a HUUUUGE PUNCHINGBALL !🐘 🐘 🐘
If you talk about physics, I would say Kitty is in Shrodinger's cat position. I just mean uncertainty.

New choice for lvl 20 and still no dilemma : agi +3 VS str +2 spd +1.
Like I said before, 1 point in agi is an handicap, 3 points in agi is still an handicap but less serious.
It's like I succeed in hitting with club 1/8 instead of 1/10. lol!

4 pure stats choices in 4 levels. It's a good thing because it allows me to rebalance my stat structure which is now (lvl 20) : 582 hp 7 str 3 agi 2 spd.

But, out of pity, no more stats ! Because I have enough for the moment ! 🐱

Wow, you're taking brutes I can't even get close to. And to hear that you're actually turning down lots of endurance! It's true, though, that you're not losing any fights for lack of defense, it's mainly when you run out of weapons and your punches are pinging 1-3 off of armor. Even 1000 vie isn't enough when you're getting clobbered 20-1.

Basically, good choices -- perseverant lets you give up lots of agility and speed, but you need that strength in there. 7 is not quite enough without MA.
