Strange Abilities?

I have a brute that can block a weapons strike without using a shield or other weapon =O
Does anyone else have weird abilities like this one? (i lose by the way...but heres an example)

Can't watch the fight, but it is actually not common to block a weapon strike without a weapon or shield of your own, and not every brute does it. The only way possible is with the Counter Attack skill.

every brute have a default chance ~10% I think to block with bare hands :)

Sorry, no. There is no chance to block with bare hands unless you have Counter Attack/Contre. If you say it's true, I'd love to see a fight where it happens because I've watched many thousands with my brutes and I have never seen it.

I thought Contre was just your brute attacking every time they blocked...

contre also give +10% blocking chance

and teethymo, I am almost sure you can block without any weapon/skill .... but is rare

not easy to say now that I think about. I tend to say teethy is right. I've seen brutes block barehanded a lot of times but I really don't know if they had counter-attack or not.

the description of counter-attack when getting the skill says: also increases the chance to EVADE... by 10%. is that really blocking?

just wait until you get it in mybrute version. it clearly and exactly says 10% chance to evade... an english person may tell me if evade is block...

evade is more like dodging; at least thats what I think of the word as.

Evade suggests a dodge, like "evasive action" means maneuvering to make yourself a difficult target to shoot. But in this case it's the wrong word, Counter Attack only helps you block.

I am perfectly willing to say that I'm wrong and that a brute without weapons, shield, or CA skill can block. But I've never seen it happen, so if you see it happen, please post a link to a fight that shows it. Other things that I've never seen: never seen a flail blocked, never seen a leek blocked or dodged except by Ballet Shoes, never seen a sai hit that didn't disarm the opponent, never seen a hit by dog or wolf or fan that did disarm the opponent. If you see any of these things, please post the fight, it would really be cool to see it.
