My Brute League - DISCUSSIONS

This is for discussing the current brute league in progress.
Results are to be posted in the individual league threads.

In this thread each division can elect/nominate a division leader and league commissioner as well.
Those appointed will be responsible in ensuring all matches are played.

The fight level was determined by selecting 10 random numbers ranged between 20 and 100 and using the average number determined the fight level. (average was 70.1)

For each league I selected 54 random numbers ranging from 1-54 and then sorted lowest to highest.
Then that order determined the divisions.

1st position was assigned team 1 in division 1.
2nd position was assigned team 1 in division 2.
...
54th position was assigned team 9 in division 6.


After the divisions were set up I then selected 54 seeds per league ranging from 11111 to 99999 and those seeds were distributed to each brute in the same order the divisions were assigned.

Some players who only listed one brute were moved from league 1 to league 2 to balance out the leagues.


Tiebreaker Formula:
1. Head to Head
2. Away Wins
3. Home Wins
4. Record vs common opponent that finished highest.

Btw, if there is "Bye", it means I have no fight that day, right????

Hey heroin i edit my proposal before the thread was closed. Pls. change one of dolot42 to batallafamily. His fight is not yet started. If it is not possible then its ok.

Thank You for ur replay, I have to follow "Schedule" table right ??? :) and i have to fight on LVL 70

The schedule is double roundrobin which means you play everyone in your division twice (once as home team, once as visitor). Since there are only 9 teams, the scheduling includes byes.
Byes means your brute doesn't have a fight for that round.

The brute you fight is based on the schedule and your brute team number and the seed for the fight is dependent on which team is home.

Make sure you are using the correct seeds for your fights.
I requested that Away teams be put on the left in the simulator and Home teams on the right for easier checking to make sure the correct seeds were used.

When adding additional round results, edit your round 1 posts to include round 2, once the league has finished you should have 18 total rounds (if you have a bye, just put Bye for link)

No you play all 18 rounds (16 total fights + 2 byes)
This is a league and not an elimination tournament.

Once the league has been completed then the top 3 teams from each division (+ 2 wild cards) will advance to the final tourney.

No, You'll always play. It is a league.... which means. you have to fight every one in your division

And no, it is 16 rounds in each league.... because there is 2 "bye"s...
Summarize: 8 fight in your seed, 8 fights in your each opponents' seed....

It doesn't matter regarding outcome but I prefer the home team on the right side of the simulator so I can just glance and see which brute for that match was designated as the home team and doublecheck that the correct seed
was used.

Well, Does the level remains the same until we finish the league...????

If it is changed, how many period will you change it?? Per day????
And when is the time you change it? (GMT and the time please)

The level will remain 70 throughout the league and final tourney.
New seeds will be assigned to each tourney participant though.

Do you want just the winner to post the result or should everyone do it, win or lose, for every match?

Everyone should post the results of every round for their brute.
I have a master checksheet that I am using to ensure matches are played but for simplicity sake at the end of the league every brute should have a post with the results of all 18 rounds listed.

That way I can count the wins/losses within each post and doubleheck against the master sheet.

HM, my brute is not brutallion335. I already made a point to make a new post in the signup thread to tell you I switched my brutes to WaffleIron6 and OSUBuckeye4.

Luckily I have a Bye this round so that will give you time to switch it.

On a side note, omcero got really lucky beating my brute today. Too bad this isn't a best out of 3 or 5 or something... I've won every other match I've simulated.

The Home seeds will stay the same throughout the league.
Only new seeds will be given to the tournament qualifiers at each stage of the tournament.

I am having the worst luck ever. It's ridiculous. Should be best out of 3.

Anyway, how do you determine who moves on to the next round?

In the league you go through the entire 18 rounds to end up with 16 total fights.
At the end of round 18 the top 3 teams from each division will advance to the tournament.
There will also be 2 wild card qualifiers.

I am currently working on a tiebreaker procedure.

It doesn't look like a lot of people are posting the results for their matches. Maybe they don't come here anymore.

Is it ok if I go ahead and post the results for all 16 rounds for my brutes?

Argh I joined a day after signups closed. Any idea when the next league will begin? I'd really be interested in participating.
