router is always disconnecting me for 2 minutes!

I've had my ADSL connecting for some time now and not had many problems with it (Okay - the odd downtime). But recently I've had problems where the connection just drops out and I need to restart my PC to get it to connect again. Using the repair option in the system tray doesn't help at all - it just keeps trying to disconnect the modem but nothing ever happens.
It wouldn't be that much of a problem if not for the fact it's disconnecting more frequently. In the last 2 minutes it's disconnected 12+ times. i really need help guys

Reset router to factory defaults, check with ISP/phone company that there are no network problems.

If neither of thos help, it's probably time for a new router ....

i think its D-Link Wireless Router
but good thing i can pupil myself
