It will be expensive to rebuild everything, but most important is people's lives.

I was just talking with a friend of mine who has family in Chile, they actually live in the area where the quake struck and he has yet to hear anything from them. at a magnitude 8.8 I'm sure there has been major and widespread damage and it may be a while before communication is reestablished. hoping for the best and that all his family made it through o.k.
