Thanks a lot for the table.
I've collected enough of my own data to see all the theories were further and further off target the higher you go.
The chart's stats look pretty accurate at least up through lev 20. Thanks again.

I made a small mistake.
Level 1 doesn't need exp (we start off at level 1), so take one "4" out.
Each level you need 4 exp more
For the 5th level, you add 1 exp more.
That's why Lv 7 requires 26 exp (4*4+5*2)

If it all sounds too complicated to you, just read the table and enjoy.

BTW my userpage contains a lot of information created, gathered and compiled by me.
Since it's wiki, everyone can edit all my pages as long as you think is suitable.

I knew the formula of the level system.
But I want to double check and verify by real data.
So far the formula still holds up to Lv 27. Razz

Pupiling go to dojo please!
http://mybrute.forumotion.com/the-dojo-f6/?sid=db684ccfa9ca6477720d3155d936247b

And ronga, I found some glicthes in your exp chart....
Total Exp needed according to zenon's website
http://brutetools.netii.net/english/xp.php

Total exp needed for lvl 1 to 6 is 62 points
This is my brute at lvl 1 to 6
Exp collected to now (lvl 5) = 51
Exp collected from now to lvl 6 = 11
http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg379/BL_Abyss_Hazard/My%20Brute%20Forum/EXP.jpg

And, your exp chart in your website:
Lvl 1 to 6 needs 61 exp.....

You're too serious! Bounce
Well I wonder if the dojo works.
All people coming here have brutes already.
We can only get exp from qualified pupils.
It appears they can't pass the system check.
So pupil exchange = useless.

To my knowledge this script is wrong. The answer is 1 exp off.
You may check other levels to see if my claim holds true.
I tried to find brutes which just levelled up to do the verification.
It should be accurate, in case if I haven't made careless mistakes.
Thanks for reporting after all. Very Happy
Report again if you find more evidence.

It's time to think about the future of it.

My comment about being too serious is not serious, so no worry.
My reply is kinda incidental.
By the way I think a casual comment is ok.
But if you open a new thread specifically for that, you should post in the dojo.

I agree with Ronga.
The dojo's existence should be thought about. I'm going to talk to Fotum about it.

btw....
All doube / triple posts will be edited by me. Am I a bad mod? No, I just like to keep the forums tidy as well. :)

Good. Make it more meaningful.

Yep I agree but you say "all". I hope you don't mean it literally.
Also it depends on the definition of double/triple posting.
If double/triple posts = consecutive posts, not all consecutive posts are definitely bad or evil.
Of course some consecutive posts are clearly bad. For example posting the same post twice or three times. But some have valid and good uses.

The first case is length control. A too long post isn't preferable. Visitors don't like reading it so we split it into several posts for better readability.

The second case is information grouping. For example I write a MyBrute guide which talks about skills, weapons, specials and general strategy. It's not a bad idea to wrap each topic in one post. It's good presentation.

I like to reply each person in one post unless the reply is too short. Reasons: Some people may miss my reply if I lump all replies in one post. It's because they may think I'm replying to someone else (usually the first guy) and skip reading it (irrelevant to him). I see it as a good presentation.

After all there is no technical reason not to allow consecutive posts. Consecutive posts or not is kinda art. No black and white. It's hard to say which presentation is better. I would leave it to the author to choose unless his choice is really too bad.

My two cents. Surprised Wink

Well put, Ronga, and no I didn't mean "All" double / triple posts...
I don't know why double / triple posts get me so mad, they just do. I just don't understand why a person couldn't say what they want to say all in one post, but like you said "A too long post isn't preferable"... that is very true.

You got good points man... I've just been used to people bashing others for double and triple posting on every other forum.
Maybe because It's happened to me so much. Sad
My mind's messed up now.

Sorry for going off topic Razz

Well I can imagine that. It's because double / triple posting is a derogatory term so it sounds like a bad thing (all the time unfortunately).

Double / triple posting is evil in several senses:
  1. Posting the same message twice or multiple times
  2. Posting multiple short replies, usually with little content, in a very short time
  3. Posting multiple times in order to flood the forum

These are the bad aspects of double / triple posting. But people start to fail to realise what double / triple posting really means and why, Consecutive posts looks like "double / triple posting" so they automatically classify any consecutive posts as bad and evil. They rigidly follow rules but forget the reasons behind the rules.

A post is only a container or wrapper, after all. It's a matter of taste and presentation whether you want to put everything in one container, or organize it in several containers, similar to how you sort things in your real life. Which method can present the message or information nicely and tidily? The answer is clear in some cases, but not in others.
It isn't rocket science, so don't go over to the point that you will automatically tag any consecutive posts as bad and evil.

Your mind messed up because your mind is wide open. It's a good sign.
New ideas keep coming. Mind needs refreshing.
You are willing to accept new ideas even they clash with your old school of thoughts.

Too often, some people treat it as necessarily evil.
Let's start appreciating and promoting the art of double/triple posting. Razz

This is so true.
Another reason why people shun double posting is because of post count. The majority or people worry too much about post counts. (Myself included)

Yes, I will definitely.
I'll still look out for the double / triple posts that you consider evil and edit them though. :queen:
