Anybody Knows How To Download Youtube Videos

Can anybody tell how to download Youtube Videos. I used many things before it worked too, but now it's not working can anybody tell :)

Can always retrieve from the cache if set large enough....

But instead you should use the greasemonkey script called YousableTubeFix:

So you can always see which video qualities are available and view the one that you prefer. Also selecting which quality to download, if available.

All of those things sound so complicated. I just use KeepVid
Just copy/paste the video's URL and you can instantly save the file to your computer in MP4 format.

To download videos or music I use this frirefox add on (video downloadhelper)
and to convert the videos I use Format factory
For convert nearly EVERY format
(download helper also has a converter in it)

Use YouTube Downloader . It allows you to convert downloaded videos for Ipod, Iphone, PSP, Cell Phone, Windows Media, XVid and MP3. Just enter the URL of the video you want to download and hit the Ok button.

does it convert to MP4 format

Um, the YousableTubeFix isn't difficult to install. It's a greasemonkey script and it shows the different streaming versions that YT video is hosting. Not only will you know the best quality available, you will have no doubt on which version you are downloading, unlike some YT downloaders. All videos should have the low quality h.264 version, with the 720p streams in a higher bitrate h.264. And both are downloaded in an MP4 container. So no conversion required.

The FLVs are using sorenson and ...forgot the other codec. Better suited for streaming and why they are used with the FLV container.
