sorry if I'm pissing on anyone's preconceived concepts of music here...
Do you also like afx , squarepusher , mu-ziq or are you just a chris cunningham addict??
Didn't know this was allowed on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXyIB2L52Dc
Nice one too
Apart from that i've benn listening only to the mars volta and 'subproducts'
I tend to be very picky when it comes to what's commonly referred to as idm, for me autechre is the pinnacle of the genre. I do like some afx, but a lot of his work really does nothing for me. I've heard very little by Chris Cunningham but what I've heard I do like quite a bit. other than that I think Mira Calix has a unique sound and I own several of her CDs, also a couple of things by Richard Devine, but mostly prefer his work similar in style to "Aleamapper".

Or on the subject of Japanese noise merchants .... how about ....
The Boredoms (with a few extra drummers ... lol) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjk01Wo-aEs
Or a favourite of mine ...
New FADs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqG6NhAaMRs (I have a brute named after this track ... lol)
Or maybe some punk from my neck of the woods.
The Exploited - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML-vz8_9HX4
nice to see a variety of musical tastes, especially ones I can relate to... I was afraid this might end up being a thread with nothing but Top 40 and commercial hip-hop.
Bob, excellent selection there, although I prefer earlier Surfers such as the "Psychic, Powerless..." and "Locust Abortion Tecnician" albums, but still consider "Independent Worm Saloon" one of their better releases, and will take The Hanatarash or Melt Banana over The Boredoms most days of the week.
