the only situation where increvable is not very useful is if you have a ton of life already like the above brute. Even then, it can still save you from the fierce brute charges here and there that would otherwise cost you the fight because they would take 70% of your life. - Extremelly likely to come across a brute who does this in any tournament.
In the early levels it is common for you have less than 100 life - increvable will reduce damage from practically every single medium + heavy weapon - which at that point even bumps is hard to dodge, plus all those brutes who have MOA and a sword or knife. Forget about the high str brutes that come later.
Increvable will save your ass from higher level brutes. This is critical to winning tournaments.
Increvable is without question one of the most important damage reducing skills in the game and therefore one of the best skills in the game.
