| Don´t know!
Okay, pw was not really strong. But it has 9 letters. So normaly enough against a bruteforce PRG.
I think someone know me and my old PW and then he hacked?
Hmm, unsurely.
I don´t klicked the nice links in the last days!
Don´t know how them get it!

| Maybe the site was able to read your cookies if you were logged/logging on ElBruto at the same time on another browser tab. I think it's technically feasible and Flash is pretty poor in terms of security.

| hmmm, dont know!
It was a universal pw for brutes that I created with BC.
So, its possibly that I gived my DB to a trainpartner and he picked the pw with a prg???

| Getting the password from the BC DB is straightforward using Squirrel.
Just for the other people as well: change the password for all your BC brutes, don't keep the same password as for your BC pupils. Moreover, BC communicates with the BC server and I have no idea what kind of information is transmitted there so your BC master brutes should definitely not have the same password as in your config.ini file.

| humm just a question, why do put a password for your pupils? I've never done it, maybe for selling purposes? or maybe for security in case of BE? | |

Yes! If you have a long BE or you are in vacations and you can´t train them you will lost all. So I set a pw and have the pupils all time long#1

| Once they get past about level 3, they won't be deleted even with no password. I left some level 8/9/10 ones sitting for months with no passwords and they were all still there when I went bacvk to them and put them into BC. I think a lot of people also trawl their pupil database for potential future brutes as well ..... hence all the high level ones with daft names. I could never abide the daft names myself, which is why none of mine have them, all my high levels are hand made and picked. I also don't bother passwording my pupils. Sorry you lost your two Pege, I suspect if they had the default database password in place, that could well have comething to do with it. Sucks. | |

| Pege - I am sorry about your brutes. Hackers should be shot.
About passwords - mine are not very long, and probably not strong, but is it easier for passwords for brutes using BC to be hacked?
I don't use it and was not worried until all this recent hacker activity.
Not that hackers would want any of my brutes. I don't have any that are likely to be good at high levels, and my highest level is 25 (or will be tomorrow).

| BC or manual, makes no difference. A password is a password.
But if you give out BC brutes, or databases, then all the pupils in the DB will most likely have the same password. If you decide to level a BC generated pupil/brute, it's advisable to change the password from whatever one was used when BC created it.

| Keep a strong password Change password every month (one digit/number is enough) Run a monthly spyware/virus scan on your PC, if you don't do this and you got an infested machine that has been collecting virusses for the past decade it doesn't make a difference if you're playing mybrute or world of warcraft or something that consists out of having a price worthy account, it's far more likely to get hacked. or get hit by a keylogger or something, which is the most danger with online games/accounts. | |

it will be suicide mission to change it manuely! i think you could do that with sql. but why do you want to change everyones pwd ? wouldnt it be enough to just change the ones of the good brutes ?
