The first Hemogrobil tournoi is underway, it's in quarterfinals, which means we should have our first Sabre in a few hours. Can anyone see this?

Thus far, the mighty Noemie de vir is out in the first round as is the immortal katgirl and uber-immortal klement. Brutes ranked 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all in separate quarters. PunchDrunk and luponero got bounced pretty easily in the first round, while lupobianco came within a hair of winning his second round fight, well done.

Nephelia will win the tourney. If Angeludo had shield (not sure how he doesn't at level 27 seeing as how his owner had all that time to figure out a good path) then he would win. But as it stands now, Nephelia will win the tourney.

however, anybody knows when lagarde obtains contre, bouclier and ours? if before he is level 20 I don't understand his build... only shuriken bah.. if he will be first BL I cannot congratulate Wink

Mathieu won't be the first BL by a long long shot. He's only got 9 strength and no martiaux, even only 132 endurance, so when he loses his stars it's all over. The only thing he's got going for him is his high level, which he gets because he wins all his low-level training fights. But notice that while he was the second-ever Hemogrobil, he's ranked 19th now. That says to me he stopped winning his training fights a long time ago.

yeah legarde is not a good brute... don't understand how he got this far. speed is great for ninjas but he goes about it the wrong way. (I talked about all this in the FUCK NINJAS thread Laughing

including the fact that pugnace and contre are bad for ninjas because of tet de fer)

Yes you did grizz -- and it's super cool to have such graphic confirmation of that fact. He's a mediocre brute but he was actually ahead of Brut4l before he got disarmed (mainly because of his bombs, but still). I suppose 6eme Sens is on that list too.

I think Nephalia will win because of her counter attacking skills, and the fact that her 3 stats are higher (even by 1 point, we all know you get the benefit in spd + agi if it is higher - it doesn't matter just how much the difference is)

only way I see brutal winning is if he drinks his potion late in the fight

With two tete-de-fers in the fight, it'll turn into a punchdown pretty quickly. Then it's Nephelia's contre/blocking vs. Brut4l's intouchable and endurance/potion. If Nephelia loses her shield, it's over for her, but that's really unlikely. An extremely evenly matched fight, though.

Wow, thanks Markus. It's really neat to see how Brut4l has changed his destiny. He went on longer in Berserk to grab perseverant, potion and cry, but then changed it so he had basically the same skills as he did in Flame only with 3 more levels, which gave him a couple more stats points, a crapload of endurance, and Tornado.

Also interesting to see what he doesn't have. No fancy new skills like contre or perseverant, no anti-pet skills, no pets, no heavy weapons, no supers at all. He's just a big pile of stats and stat boosters with tete-de-fer thrown in.

yup, there's not THE best config to be a champion (as in mybrute where ultra-agility plus untouch and a couple of other skills make you the chief)

Two days later and still no second Sabre, despite there being 80 Berserks. I haven't joined it so I don't know how many are signed up. PunchDrunk is two fights away from getting Intouchable again, at which point he ought to zoom up in levels a lot. But it's not really until level 16 when he gets MA that he'll be viable in the tourney, and it's about level 16 that he'll be in the top half level-wise. He has no chance against the level 20+ brutes (Noemie is up to level 30 now) but he'll stomp anyone lower than himself, so that's when I'll enter.

Any bets on the next Sabre? After last time, my money's on Nephelia.

Defense. Brut4l had 6 dodges and 2 blocks, and stopped 3 attacks with his whip. Nephelia's contre only blocked 2 attacks, and she threw her whip away. They both did roughly the same damage to each other, but Brut4l had lots more endurance. She couldn't use her trappeur, and he only got one hit big enough to run up against her increvable.
