Copy everything, i believe it needs the v1.3.00 batch file (brutalcombo.bat)
i've tried just copying the .jar and config and context files and it went down after double clicking, after that i copied everything and it worked



And remember kids: Always try this sort of stuff on a copy of your DBs

Well I got it running...but

In switching back to 1.3 the jar file was looking a folder "test-db" so in made a new folder named that and copied the contents on the "DB" folder into that. Worked and running. Now to do the rest.

This "test-db" was a bug of the initial BC 1.3.00 release. I guess you didn't download the 1.3.00 version from the forum before installing it.
The BC 1.3.00 file that you can download from the original BC release topic was corrected and makes use of the folder "db" as usual.

This is true as I did a net search for it. No matter for me. I just copied all the folders I wanted to train to a temp folder and renamed there.

1.2.02 works perfect for me. I had been using 1.4.01 before then just copied the 1.2.02 version along with the old config file.

Be careful: 1.2.02 and below won't train brutes created with 1.3.00 and above.

@ SIOC:
i just tried all versions from 1.2 to 1.4 with no luck evry time i got the same Problem

all my pupils were created with version 1.2 , my java is set correctly in my PC , i downlowded all versions from BC release topic and evry time i get the same Problem. i even reinstalled windows xp and still the same ERROR.

well i did not reinstall windows because of BC , i had another reason for that :) . but still same problem which made me realy curious to ask here for help
