Nokia N8 VS Iphone 4

Just for info. I had a Samsung Epic 4G in my hands for 5 hours yesterday. Was assisting future BIL in setting it up with apps. I was not impressed with it's CPU. Operating firmware was not as functional as my HTC and slower in speed. Both phones were on my WiFi and not 4g or 3g. the 4g was not avail in my area anyway.

Hmm, 4g is not available in my area too ( jeddah, saudi arabia)

What I know, Epic has same filesystem than Galaxy S and it's not at it's best out of the box. But i'm not sure, because Epic is not available in here and thus I don't know much about it.

My Galaxy S haven't yet arrived, but when I get it, I'll immediately root the phone and install a lagfix for it. That will make it a lot faster!

It is a filesystem fix, which is made by Galaxy S users. Galaxy S has RFS filesystem in stock, lag fix creates a virtual EXT2 filesystem to phone's memory. It means that lag fix creates a buffer between the real filesystem and the android system. That buffer reduce the amount of disk I/O required for all operations by utilizing EXT2 buffering.

IMO, take the iphone 4 if you like apple.
Otherwise, technology-wise Nokia is probably better.

Very impressed so far.

Runs fast as it is but will look into the patch you mentioned Nasic.

I had a look. Forunately, I didn't see any poker apps that allow you to play for real money .... they all seemed to be play money ones like the one you can use on FaceBook.

Can't say play money ones hold much interest from me.

Shall be investigating further to see if I can find a proper one though. Wink

Don't use pokerstars .... but may have to start now!

I normally play on UltimateBet (problems with my account on there at the moment .... grrrr) or PKR (I doubt the full 3D version is available as an app?).

How can you justification your claim?

After all, my operator fucked up my Galaxy S order and I had to cancel it. I went to store and took N8 beside Galaxy S. Never regret my choise, it has been very good phone! Very fast (not slower than my wife's HTC with a 1GHz prosessor) and amoled screen quality is very good! I don't even have to say a word about it's camera...

Symbian^3 seems to be very good operating system so far. Fast and reliable (I have used Android, Windows etc..), only set back is that Angry Birds is not free like it's for Android Laughing
