Yeah it looks to me like they don't have an automated process for this, they make it annoying but not foolproof and then they have to manually ban people's IPs and shut their accounts. It looks like they do that only under a couple of circumstances -- when a player is getting out of control or complained about, and periodically they do a sweep of the worst (?) offenders.

My guess is that if you're posting brutes somewhere and offering accounts for sale, you're painting a target on your back. But it makes sense that if some admin somewhere is going to sit down with the IP tool and ban a bunch of folks, he's going to look around to see if there's anyone else he can get rid of while he's at it. So it makes sense if you've got more than 3 muxxu accounts to lay low with them for a while. Me, I've only got a small handful but I'm not going to be playing anyone but PunchDrunk and my spy account, and that latter one only if absolutely necessary.

Hello everyone.

Back in late July, I did a sweep of this forum and found 722 illegal accounts. The worst offenders within the 722 were Aimless628, with 215 accounts, Cbarron, with 210 accounts, and Mantis33, with 141 accounts. All 722 accounts were reported to the Motion-Twin team. Now, it appears that they have finally gotten around to banning the accounts mentioned above. I may or may not do a similar sweep in future, without any prior warning. As such, I would advise everyone to review and follow the Motion-Twin Terms and Conditions, specifically Articles 1, 4 and 7. After this message is posted, this account and the fake e-mail associated with it will be deleted to avoid retaliation.

this wont help because he could have sweeped his IP or used the internet from an internet cafee or such. otherwise he does not need an account in this forum to spy for multiple accounts. so the massage i got from him is kind of a (unfriendly agressive) favor...

so my advice would be exactly like his advice, but more friendly
after all he has nothing to lose. but all multi accounters here have everything to lose. so be wise about this.

i will close this thread after the discussion here is over (couple of days). there is no need to make it easy for him to spy.

I'm not banned. I don't have that many accounts. I have like maybe 20 that I use.

ya but what if they decide to ban all accounts with similar names and made by the same ip like they did to me???
there is a huge chance that this spy is the same person who told MT about me

if that "spy" is member of MT he is only doing his job... but if he is doing that as a private person he is one of the poorest people I heard of in my lifetime...
