Hi again.
Since my previous topic didnt get too much traffic - I will post this brute in the separate thread.


My 5,1 ‰ Blood Alcohol:



First path has thief - which is a great skill. And determination will come in handy if/when I get flail/axe.


But... the second path is avesome - with first strike + sabotage + multi-multi hit leek (which my brute usually draws pretty fast 0.o - strangely...)

I am thinking of staying with the second path even though I loose thief and determination (which isnt bad combo either). But before I decide - tell me what would you do if it was your brute?

Wow, great brute. Undecided, I too have a brute with only thief and determination, and it's pretty useful, but leek + vandalisme is one of the oldest more useful combo.
I'd go with the second one if strenght is good enough to support leek, otherwise can be more useful to have thief/weapons.
which are the stats at level 15?

I am not sure since I just ranked up, but it is more or less:


Health: 92
Strength: 16
Agility: 9
Speed: 17


Something like that.


Actually in the second path - as soon as I got First Strike I ranked up. It changed my brute to a big winner. So it seems a bit better to use the second path right now. But it may just be a fluke that he jumped through all his todays tourney fights.

leek+vandalisme+sang-chaud (+ herculean strength) is DEADLY

on the other hand, Determination is 0 for leek cuz he can't be blocked (or dodged??) :)

and Net isn't great, but can be very useful sometimes :)

The ore I think about it the more I like 2nd path.
But it becomes deadly only after getting First strike (sang haud?) - so late in levelups.

SO far this skill on this brute of mine was the most "game-changing" one. My brute went from hard 7-8 fights daily (with spy and backup) to easy 10/daily - with no help


Also I amy be wrong because I watched on tournament fights with this brute when he got first strike - but it seems this skill made my brute use leek verry early.

Do you think first strike makes brute use weapon faster than "normally"? I didnt notice it on my other brutes though :)

he just give you +200 initiative (2 attacks)
and leek have a great speed, so it can bring 1 or maybe 2 bonus attacks :)

Yes, what ckl said. Determination is a great skill but it's only useful when you're not using the leek, and it's countered by Counter Strike. Sabotage and First Strike are a natural combo as you've found already. Definitely keep this path, and next time continue on a few levels after you win. You're looking for Martial Arts, naturally, which will make you viable without the leek as well. Other great skills for you would be Shock, Fierce Brute, Ballet Shoes, Armor.

Why armor?

On higheer levels no matter what great things your brute has you rank up between 17-22 anyway - so isnt armor less useful on higher levels?

Shock - I would dream to get this one!
Fierce brute - yeah :) can come in handy - especially since my brute really uses the multihit when wielding leek.

As fro ballet shoes - It would be great to have them, but since I already have first strike - and quite shockingly my brute doesnt wait long beore he takes out leek - it is not a necessity.

IMO, armor is very useful for an agile brute because it helps most against your worst enemies, the knife and sai (and for that matter, the leek). These little weapons are really tough to dodge, and someone with master of arms and a knife can do you in very quickly. But because the base damage and strength-apply are so low, they need to get lots of hits in to really do damage. Shield and armor are the best defenses against these, shield because it is easier to block a knife than dodge it, armor because it takes a chunk of damage off of every hit. Armor is pretty useless against a flail, much more useful against a knife.
