Well first off do not follow any of those "Fight me and get a better % of getting a pet" scams -- they're all false..

Getting a pet is a matter of luck mate.. You might get one at level 1 or at level 20.. Your best bet (if you want one at early levels) is to keep trying till you eventually have one :)
Alternatively you could go on some threads that we have here which give away free brutes. Hopefully somone wil be willing to give you a brute with a pet :)

If you want to keep cycling through brutes to get one with a pet at low levels, it might help to use those sites that allow you to peek into your brute's future so you'll know if and when you get a pet and at what level.

You can see what weapons/pets/specialties your brute will get an any level using a predictor site.
