Pets are good at earlier levels, but weapons are better in the long run.

Levels 1-15 Pets are the best

Levels 16-100 WEAPONS Rule

well i just thought of sumthing the dogs can be decoys and wolf/bear can be minor attackers

weapons!!!

Pets coz they are decoys to attacks. They are the sacrificial lambs

sometimes its better to attack with bare hand coz you have a higher change to hit the opponent. some weapons like bump and flail (scourge), and stone hammer can NOT hit opponents with high agility.

the best weapon for me would be HOBO KNIFE coz it hardly misses and you can do multiple attacks with it. with Heavy weapons like Stone Hammer, its most likely that your opponent will dodge the attack.

get a bear by lvl up to 17 and lose 90HP :pale:

pet 1st is my opinion cuz if u want a sure victory at the very start lol i know weapon is more important cuz i have in my main a armor think skin shield hammer 6th sense and muscular arms hehehe ^__^

Ofc pets, if u got max 4 pets your emey have 5 x target to hit/kill, cry or net or hypno can help u but not have to is's auto fight so enemy can use this skills or not

Its a lot easier to kill pets and weapons do more damage.

I can kill 4 pets on one turn easy.

well, pets are weapons only @lower levels, that's true, but i think they're underestimated as furry shields in higher levels. they surely can easily get killed, stolen or chased away, but they are an OPTION more, there are many occasions they help out, and i am very grateful when my faithful doggy takes a 3 times flailstroke instead of letting my brute feel it...

and weapons? you can't avoid to get good ones, they keep on coming...

pets reduce your HP and can be scared away by cry of the damned right at the start of a fight or stolen and used against you, people with decent agility will avoid most of their attacks and weapons do much more damage at high levels. bears/panthers are good for wins until level 20, then if your brute sucks you wont be winning much of anything.

It is nice, however, when at higher levels that 16hp dog takes a fierce brute axe attack for 250+ damage. :)
