Ok i need help. I'm running vista and lately my firewall and windows defender have been turning them selves off when i start the computer. I tried waiting a few hours to see if they would turn back on but it doesn't happen. I have to manually turn them on now. I few weeks ago this never happend. I also tried seeing if i turned somthing off that made them turn on when i started my computer but again nothing happend. I then scanned for viruses but i had none. And now as i'm typing this my windows defender turned it self off even though i turned it on just a few minutes ago. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

i tried to update windows defender but nothing happend.
I'm using windows live one care as an anti virus program and it tells me when there is an update but it hasnt and i looked but i have the up to date version
