Things are looking much better already with the new buttons and other misc fixes. To try to help here are my list of issues remaining:

1. There are still some text table column headers showing up in black which makes them very hard to see (for example where it says Author and Message at the very top of the thread view)

2. Some of the colors need to be tweaked a tad I think... the current contrasts make it look very unpleasant unless viewed straight on at the right angle when viewing on something like a laptop monitor - this is not an aesthetics thing as much as functionality/accessibility since right now it can be (for some) just a little harsh on the eyes viewing/reading for any extended amount of time.

3. I like most of the new buttons/icons but the thread posts ones don't completely make sense to me and I find don't do much to help make quick distinctions at a glance as they ideally should... instead I feel like they're actually making it harder to quickly browse the threads. Ideally they'd make it obvious just from a quick glance what the read/unread/locked/whatever status is and immediately draw my attention to the things that need my attention. As it is, I keep just wanting to click on random locked thread because of the way the icon draws my attention, hehe.

Those are my primary suggestions for the time being. Having noted those things, I'd like to say I still like this theme better than the last overall and I think Timodean has been doing a superb job on getting things fixed up especially considering how much of a rush job it's been making new buttons and everything so fast. Keep up the great work!

I don't think I would like those blinking icons to be honest. Could get annoying really fast with a whole bunch of them blinking at the same time.

I'm with lumi on the blinking icons being a no-go for me, otherwise they look nice without the blinking. The colour difference is enough to differentiate.

Any thoughts on the Background (and overall color scheme)? The background has been starting to bug me.

Actually, while I haven't been on the board much for a while I was an active user here and was asked to be part of the team a while back but instead got involved with Lumi, BtB, and some of the other mods on a side-project and only recently had time to start checking in here again. Lumi gave me access to the admin panel hoping I'd have time to help with a few things... Don't worry, our fearless leader hasn't lost it and started handing out admin passes to random people. It's likely just temporary access to help with stuff behind the scenes (especially with Bob on vacation and others busy with school).

If you have any concerns, most of the forum leaders can vouch for me and Lumi likely knows me better than my own mother at this point, lol. Feel free to ask around if it pleases you.
