| I'was just starting to level-up some brutes with BC when I came across Oontack in this thread. It is not clear for me what makes a "good brute" in the long-term (a lot of strength, which bonuses, etc). It seems to me that my initial choices (Sioc and hfkjh) do not look that good with Oontack in the long term (level 100+). I'm therefore seeking for advices for two new candidates among the selection of 8 brutes below that imo may be interesting. Which two of the following would you consider as a good brute (at level 100 or more) ? http://sioc.mybrute.com/cellule/ (that was my actual first random choice with BC that is already level 30+ but that imo is not a keeper) http://hfkjh.mybrute.com/cellule/ (that was my actual second random choice with BC that is already level 30+ but that imo is not a keeper) http://sfweew.mybrute.com/cellule http://mbfrevenge.mybrute.com/cellule http://dual-crew.mybrute.com/cellule http://defjam-and-ccs.mybrute.com/cellule http://jungle-command.mybrute.com/cellule http://amiga-industries.mybrute.com/cellule http://the-light-circle.mybrute.com/cellule http://pirhanas.mybrute.com/cellule I've made below a summary at level 100 and level 200. In color what I think are weaknesses (red) or strengths (green). | |

| Thanks. What specific properties should I look for?
Maybe it is possible to exploit in some way the exported (eg to Excel) content of the BC database to find promising brutes?

| I show you some examples that can take the competition (don't be angry dear reader if I forgot your brute):
http://koerper4812.mybrute.com/cellule http://biceuri.mybrute.com/cellule http://cometviking.mybrute.com/cellule http://angelus-amo.mybrute.com/cellule http://diddy351.mybrute.com/cellule http://qdxaveke.mybrute.com/cellule http://was348.mybrute.com/cellule http://kgwazldq.mybrute.com/cellule
and http://dio-s4i.mybrute.com/cellule
these are brutes with different styles but they all have one thing together: if they don't pull too bad seeds they can compete with everyone :) look for something like them and you will have much fun :)
some of them you could buy at the moment like was348 and I think biceuri :)

| I'd say focus more on stats and skills rather than pets and HP, and HKF beat me to the suggestion to check out other forum members' brutes. a lot of people here who have figured out what makes for a good, competitive brute and you'd definitely do good to study their examples. | |

| Ok, here we are. One common feature of these high-levels players is that they usually all have a very high agility and a rather low speed, as it can be seen below: Exporting the BC database to text turns out to be of a great help in order to find out interesting pupils. Here's the list of 5 final candidates, in order of preference. I'm seeking for two pupils, which ones do you think are best? URL: (1) http://spckxcwrb.mybrute.com/cellule (2) http://spcdfgtri.mybrute.com/cellule (3) http://sapmmuouads.mybrute.com/cellule (4) http://spcxzvrkh.mybrute.com/cellule (5) http://spcfxsiey.mybrute.com/cellule SUMMARY: EDIT: imo the best brutes are brutes (1) and (3), what is your opinion? | |

| but USUALLY brutes with many skills at high levels have only one high stats... but others are TRIPLE T....
like http://lo2-o4fegbn.mybrute.com/cellule it has 24 skills at 200 but its stats are low(average for me)

| PM sent ! I was using an export of BC database to Excel in order to find the 5 brutes above, but I didn't care much about bonuses since I don't know which ones are "must have" bonuses. | |

| Ok, so here's now the state of my actual research through 4'000 brutes in my BC database. I've finally found 3 candidates, 2 agility brutes and one "strength" brute. Making a scatter plot of the sum Strength+Agility+Speed vs the total number of specialities+bonuses turns out to be quite helpful in order to find possible candidates: Then Oontack can help finding the best ones. The 3 green circles indicate my 3 candidates: (1) http://sapxjtdqwgs.mybrute.com/cellule/ (agility brute that gets untouchable only very late at level 380...) (2) http://sapwoefvakc.mybrute.com/cellule/ (very high strength+agility+speed (291 !), gets untouchable at level 244, and interestingly in the very long term missing only 4 specialities) (3) http://sapmmuouads.mybrute.com/cellule/ (already in my previous posts, agility brute quite similar to the first one but never gets untouchable) (1)(2)Interestingly in the very long term this brute gets almost all specialities. (3)I like the idea of having two different kind of brutes like the choices 1 (agility) and 2 (strength) instead of two agility brutes. I'm however not quite sure which one to take between 1 and 3... Imo my BC database is still too small (4'000 brutes) in order to find the real "dream brute"... maybe I'll find a better one in the next days... Anyway, may I once again ask for your opinion about these 3 remaining candidates? | |

| I think u should go hunting some more. A high strength brute is nice but...a lower strength brute with higher agility with untouchable usually wins. If ya can't hit the brute what use is the strength. But if it has decent agility too...thatz a different animal. | |

some of them you could buy at the moment like was348 and I think biceuri :) Yeh if you take the general essence of those brutes you get a pretty decent image of what a good brute would be, a lot of agi, decent amount of abilities, pets, weapons at higher level 100-200 i.e untouchable, implacable, survival, second row etc... THE BIGGEST problem you will face is: Do you want an awesome brute or do you want your own brute? With this I mean to say do you want an awesome brute called lo-0128g8 or some unpronounceble name or do you want a handmade brute with nice gfx and your own name, you do have to look at him/her almost everyday and I know that some have real good brutes but regret leveling 98sdfuysgh to such a high level, espcially if it turns out their not the monster they had been looking for. I've been going through my pupil list so far and I find a lot of brutes that are better then my own Lord-Nasic but they are all called 76sfdgtydy etc and when looking at my brute I'm pretty happy with him, got decent agi and get's an awesome str boost at 137 so there's something to look forward too. Still, sticking some considerable time into searching your own perfect brute is absolutely worth it ofc, good luck! :)

| Damn, you are harsh with my 1/1'000 th percentile candidates ;-) Anyway, I really don't care about unpronounceable names and gfx. So I'll keep on following your advice and search for the perfect brute in order to present it to you for review before starting the pupilling process... EDIT: even though I don't really care about gfx, it is quite easy to have nice gfx for your pupils with BC... just edit GFX.js and replace the function createGfx by some code like for example this one - Code:
-
var RandomGFX = '' + rnd(1,4); switch (RandomGFX) { case '1': gfx ='0;1;5;4;1;1;1;4;0;0;0;-1;3;9;9;9'; break; case '2': gfx ='0;1;5;4;1;1;1;2;0;0;0;-1;3;9;9;9'; break; case '3': gfx = '0;1;5;4;1;1;1;3;0;0;0;-1;3;9;9;9'; break; case '4': gfx = '0;1;5;4;1;1;1;5;0;0;0;-1;3;9;9;9'; break; default: gfx ='0;1;5;4;1;1;1;4;0;0;0;-1;3;9;9;9'; break; }
where you can create the custom gfx codes from the site http://scriptwin.netau.net/GFX2/generateur_GFX.html Have now found a few new candidates out of my database of 15'000 brutes... will post them soon.

| Ok, I finally found my 2 brutes out of 15'000 candidates.
- Target level 385: http://sioc-raveat.mybrute.com/cellule/
- Target level 436: http://spczpdygj.mybrute.com/cellule
I've done quite a few simulations at level 400 and it turns out the second brute (agility one) is surprisingly the strongest even though he misses a few abilities compared to other candidates I had in my database. The first brute is a strength brute with still decent speed and agility. They are both very late developpers. For my simulations I've been using mostly Sam-ps' benchmark brutes (thanks for your help!) in this thread. At level 300 both brutes win at least 4 matches over 9 (with sioc-raveat winning 5). For sure I could still find better brutes but now I'm fed up looking for candidates and I will start the level up phase and let the computers do all work :-)
