| So when you level up, you usually have the choice between a skill/super/weapon/pet, or +3 to one of your stats. Sometimes, you only get a choice between stats and stats. But when do you pass up the new skill or weapon? Have you ever? If so, explain your reasons why.
Myself, I've passed on a couple. I passed on the glaive at level 1 because I wanted +3 rapidite and knew I could limp along for a couple of levels without any weapons, and sure enough two levels later I got the trident. I've passed on the massue because I just hate the frickin massue. Hate it. I would pass up the fan for the same reason, and the keyboard. But I haven't passed on any skills yet.
I think I might pass on sang-chaud if it comes up again. If it was the old game, I'd pass on bombe, but the new bombe seems to be worth keeping. Any new skills out there that really suck?
Also, has anyone passed on something only to have it come back again later? That would put an interesting twist in the game -- if you only have one chance to take a weapon or skill, that's different than if it might come up again.

| good question, not sure about that... I thought the first strike is sure (and thats sure) and after that the chance of dodging is increased :) | |

| I have passed up on hp. but I received much in hp when I took vitality. And lost it when I took the bear. But the bear has done good. | |

| I'm still waiting for another pet than the dog...
I nearly every time choose the skill, but I'll never take spy again... it doesn't really help me...

| I think that Cuisinier and Trappeur are also skills that are not worth taking. Cuisinier doesn't do enough damage to be worth the blessure it takes to use it, and Trappeur is only useful when there's a dead pet on the screen and even then it seems to proc very rarely, I've got two brutes who have the skill and have yet to see either of them use it in at least a dozen cases where they could.
It also seems to me that a lot of skills could be really powerful at higher levels if they have a chance to combo with others, but they're a lot less useful at low levels. Trappeur, for instance, might be really useful at level 50 or so when there's going to be dead pets in every single fight. But if the levels aren't going to get to 20 because everyone's reset when they win the tourney, then what good is the skill if you won't even face a live pet in 10% of your fights? Likewise, what good is Gros-bras/Strong Arm if, even without it, you kill every opponent in 1-2 hits with the hammer or flail and you never miss because their agility always sucks?
