I've personally verified all the numbers up to "LV27 -> LV 28: 53 XP." The rest came from screenshots and the unconfirmed ones were posted on the Muxxu forums.



How to earn XP
Each fight: 1 XP regardless of outcome, up to 10 per day (20 per day with 15 jetons)
1 XP per battle won in a tournament, up to 5 for reaching finals but not winning

8->9: 13 XP
9->10: 14 or 15 XP (forgot lol)
10->11: 16 XP

lvl 9-10 = 14 xp

11->12 : 18 XP

you're already level 12?


edit: ok, I'm lazy . I just checked the padawan rank and see the highest level is 14 now. can spy show you how much xp is needed at each level for a brute, as if you're viewing your own brute's xp needs for the next level? in other words, if you check the cell of a lvl 14, does it show their xp bar too, so that you could see how much they need?

12->13: 20XP

13->14: 22XP
14->15: 24XP

15->16: 26 XP
16->17: 28 XP

I think I've now got one of the worst brutes ever. It's approaching LV 17 and getting beaten by lower-level brutes in the tournaments.

I disagree. Look at the lower levels. I'm pretty sure it's an exponential function and the required XP will soon start jumping by 3's instead of 2's.

BTW, I've personally confirmed all the numbers in the first post; they're not educated guesses.

I don't think it is exponential but rather a power law as it is the case in MyBrute 1.
It is however clear that it is not as steep as for MyBrute 1 where the total experience EXP(n) at level n was given by EXP(n) = Floor(n^2.3).

At the moment I have only data up to level 17 therefore the law still may change.
Moreover it seems that on Muxxu Brute a fit of the required number of experience points to level up is more accurate than a fit of the total number of experience points at a given level (MyBrute 1).
The following function gives the number of experience points XP(n) to reach level n when you are at level n-1 on Muxxu Brute:

• a = 1.2
  
• b = -1
  
• c = 0.45
  

Of course as I'll get more experimental data I will update the fitting parameters a, b, and c and eventually the law may change as well (I'm not convinced by this fit atm).

At least on edit date this function gives the correct required experience points for all levels in the table of the first post of this topic.

EDIT: one more point, 82XP for level 39->40. Constants above were updated accordingly.

NV 17->18: 30 XP

Best-fit still works so far.

At this rate I don't think my brute will ever win a tournament (sigh) I'm already #66 in the Padawan ranking, based on total XP earned to date.

actually it looks like it's still a percentage increase, since sometimes there's still an irregularity:

7->8: 11 XP
8->9: 13 XP = +2
9->10: 14 XP = +1
10->11: 16 XP = +2


and all after that are +2 so far. I think it's on a reduced increasing scale to make it easier to get new levels, unlike the original game, which increased the percentage extra needed per level much more quickly after lvl 20 something...

This came from someone on the Muxxu forums:
20->21: 37 XP (unconfirmed)
21->22: 39 XP (unconfirmed)
22->23: 41 XP (unconfirmed)
23->24: 44 XP (unconfirmed)

The best-fit no longer works for these, unfortunately.

I wonder where does the data for level 24 (44 XP) come from because atm there is no brute at that level in the game.
Anyway, with this new data fitting parameters may be adjusted (previous post was adjusted accordingly; replaced Trunc by Round).
This would then predict 30 XP for level 18, 33 XP for level 19, and 35 XP for level 20.

However I'm absolutely not convinced atm that the fit has the correct law. We will see.

The brute is at LV23, so he knows how many XP are needed to attain LV24.

"23->24" = the number of XP needed to advance from LV23 to LV24.

Where did you get the 39->40 data point?

I've always wondered about the ultra high-level brutes (by Muxxu standards, at least) atop the Padawan ranking. Are those brutes so subpar that they can't win a tournament even at those levels (I would believe it, as I have a LV 20 "new destiny" Desert Batterer who loses first-round tournament battles), or do their owners intentionally avoid entering tournaments so they could dominate one ranking?

Markus, the high level brutes are obviously avoiding entering tournaments on purpose. Even the worst brutes have a danger of winning tournaments by sheer force once they start getting 20+. I am avoiding doing it on Grotesk because: 1 - he has Spy, and 2 - he is the worst brute I've ever had (despite being my 1st brute) he had like 5 wins at level 9... But despite having no good weapons or abilities, he has gotten to the final (and luckily lost) the last 2 times I accidentally entered him in a tourney.
The ultra high level padawans are just playing the game their own way :)
