A very good start. Bear is good, especially with increavable to counter the hit to your HP. Shield and counter is the best combo in the game. Spear is a very good weapon considering it counters at a high rate AND helps you block/counter even more with the shield when it doesn't counter. I would hate to run into this brute at level 10. Hopefully your future levels are just as good.
