pugnace is the counter skill you want with feline agi/untouch... you always attack after you dodge

if you are a shield/counter brute, and with low damage weapons, you don't want to dodge people or you will not hurt them... you want people attacking you as much as possible until much later levels like HKF said.

also flail is really bad weapon to have on shield/counter brutes just FYI

wow I cant understand why some people forgot about martial arts. Its probably the MOST IMPORTANT skill in the game.... In my opinion it definitely is

Totally agree with you. Some people may ignore it but, yeah it is FUNDAMENTAL at least, especially in the top 50.
Need karate sessions for kitty >_>.

Martial arts doesn't affect the leek. You could say it is too long for martial arts to activate.

Yeah, the mug damages are doubled by this ability.

Isn't Hypnose invariably better than COTD?

Hypnose is the best skill against pets when it activates.
And I haven't tried it in muxxu but before you wanted to kill someone because the activation rate was too low.

well i have only 3 brutes with hypno and it mostly works when the opponent has Bear or wolf. because the dogs die faster than them

I like hypnose better than COTD for obvious reasons. Neither one can be relied on to activate... maybe COTD activates slightly more often, but the other definitely has a better result.

yeah ninjas might be a problem for my brute until the sang-chaud+vandal kick in at lvl 6... that or until lvl 11 when he gets a sai.

also, a brute without a weapon or herculean str+martial arts in the first 4 levels is going to lose all of his fights regardless how awesome his skills are. the weapon actually should always be the 1st or 2nd level to maintain dominance throughout the leveling career.

Sang chaud can be great, but makes your brute go slower after the first burst of attacks, it can be really a waste against a brute with several pets or with contre or very high agility. I think its one of those "very good" or "very bad" skills that you have to gamble with.
