| Not a real computer geek myself ;-) but IT is usually more valued in the industry.
On the other hand Computer Sciences may be more interesting from an intellectual point of view.
So it depends on what is your goal.
But choices made at college usually do not really play an important role for future directions so don't bother too much about it. | |

| it depends on what you like and can most. and i just can not give you an answer because both are great to study for computer science you need lots of math knollege and some experiance with 1 Programing language or more than one. of cource it could be done without those 2 , but it would be a realy hard at the beginning. For Info we have to learn Java, Haskell and Prolog in the first semester and C and C++ later for Information Technology only from what i have heard from some other students who had to visit the same lectures as us computer science students, that it is mostly the same way at the beginning too. also lots of Math but they have also lots of Electrotechnic and some Basics of Phisics too. and they start with C++ and as far as i know they do not learn Java at least not in the first 4 semesters. but my advice would be to visit some lectures of both at the start of the semester and pick which you like more... | |

| I actually like either of those.. since it's a computer course .. But I just want to get opinions from people here . Coz maybe some members here have an idea regarding the field of studies with the said courses .. I guess I'll just go with what ricotamanora .. | |
