Not a bug. Read the built-in FAQ in Pupic Commander: MyBrute Hekp -> Pupil Commander FAQ. These pupils are non XP pupils.

You're not the only one to have reported this. At least Antivir is causing some issues.
Add Pupil Commander to your Antivirus exception list (e.g. here for Antivir) and it should open without problem.
Otherwise either disable your antivirus or change antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials is way less intrusive than Antivir: http://www.av-comparatives.org/ ).

I guess your delay is too short.
As written in the built-in Pupil Commander FAQ, the delay is not primarily related to the tool, but to your router/ISP. If you make too frequent resets the connections cannot restart and therefore the HTTP requests for pupil creation are waiting, waiting, waiting until the connection of your router comes back. For example, my delay is 80 seconds in order to be able to run that loop for days.

Yes. Sustainable long term resets are not the same as short term resets. Explained in detail in the built-in Pupil Commander FAQ "MyBrute Help" -> "Pupil Commander FAQ".
If your connection comes back after 20 seconds then your delay should be at least 30 seconds. Just for example, my connection comes back after 5 seconds, but my delay needs to be at least 80 seconds otherwise it will hang after 3-4 resets.

Configuration is saved in your s3db file, unless you do exit the application without saving changes.
Anyway there will be a check for unsaved configuration changes before closing the application in version 1.0.1.

Just as a reminder:

1) Pupil Commander includes a built-in database manager which means that in 99% of the cases you do NOT need Squirrel, Sqlite Admin etc. All what you need is eventually to play around with Excel / OpenOffice in order to get the proper import format.

2) About the configuration changes: configuration IS saved to the s3db file in version 1.0.0 (unless the tool is closed before saving, or if you erase the s3db file). No need to wait for 1.0.1 for this.

3) About the delay for creating pupils: there may be an issue making it a bit slower than expected. We have to investigate.
