So, I was making other brutes for some fun, and one in particular

Got vitality at level 1, and when I checked he's going to get a bear at level 5. Of course, I'm ecstatic because I think that with vitality and a bear he'll be nearly unstoppable. But then I check the combat simulator, and after he gets the bear.

Except when I looked with a combat simulator, when he gets the bear his hp goes from 128 to 57.

I didn't know that getting a pet nerfed your hp, I just thought that brutes with pets had naturally low hp. So my guy got hurt from getting vitality before a rare pet. I know that it's for the sake of balance, but I still can't help but be disappointed, you know.

So, have you ever had this kind of experience?

Oh Yeah.

Ive got a brute at level 16 nearly 17 with a bear, and his HP is only at 86. Having pets makes your HP extremely low. It sucks!!

Yeah you can. Go to:

http://brutetools.netii.net/english/simulateur.php

or just click on "Simulateur de Combat" on the right hand side of the screen and type in your stats. Then swipe over your character in the fight and it will show you your stats (in french).

I think that sites pretty cool.

All of the stats and weapons are actually what you're going to get too. Good tool to use to try and find that "Perfect Brute".

I was pupiling my main guy this evening and I got a pupil with a bear at lv1.

Sweet.

Stuck a password on him as he's a keeper.

He then got vitality and hammer (special move) at lv's 2 & 3.

Double sweet!

He now has a bear, uber-special move and decent HP (about 80) and he's only just hit lv3.

A definite keeper!

I don't look at the predictor sites with my keepers. I prefer some element of surpirse!

Sweet. Sounds like a keeper. I got a bear at level 3 with about 10 brutes, but never at level 1!

It's common knowledge that when a thread has been derailed from it's original topic then the options are:
1. Split derailment into a separate section.
2. Remove any content that is not applicable to the topic's subject.
3. Lock the thread.

The purpose of this forum is to provide answers to questions to directly without having the users to needlessly wade through derailments in order to get their question answered.

The topic of this thread is informing people that once you acquire pets you can expect a drop in lifepoints.
How to simulate brute fights is not relevant to this topic and is already being discussed in several other threads.

I'm sorry if you find me trying to get the forums to be more efficient offensive.
