Does anybody watch anime... Or even read Manga?

I myself have been watching anime since I was a youngling.

The Robotech series kind of started it all for me.

Currently I am watching Gurren Lagann, and a few others.

Typically I tend to lean towards mecha style anime since I grew up watching Robotech.

However, I do like anything with a good storyline, and great animation.

watch Naruto Shippuuden every week.
started from the first Naruto up until now.
Dont really have the time to watch anything
else.

I missed a bunch of season 4 Naruto, but have seen every Shippuuden episode upto 103 I believe.

Taking a break from that, so the episodes backlog a bit... As I like to watch several episodes at a time.

Used to watch some of the old skool stuff back in the day (Akira, First of the North Star, Ultimate Teacher ... that sort of thing) .... but haven't wantched a Manga film for a looooong time now .... never have the time!

Is Ranma 1/2 considered anime or manga? I can't really tell the difference.

at my age... the only cartoons I remember are the smurfs and voltron

maybe some he-man and thundercats.....

I know anime is way more technical than that but its WAY over my head Razz

Yeah, Ranma's pretty old. I remember seeing glimpses of it when I was about 10 or so...
I recently thought back and said "Hey, what was that show about that guy who turns into a girl", did some googling and found it.

I'm not a big anime fan, but I love this show! Me and my sister have been watching it from episode 1 on youtube and we're now on ep. 43

By SF, you mean Street Fighter?
I remember having a Ranma game for snes, but it was more of a Streets of Rage type thing. I didn't know there was a fighting Ranma game.

I'm a huge anime fan. Have TBs of it that I have 6 hard drives and external to keep up, not counting the hundreds saved on DVDs. And yes, I've seen all of Ranma 1/2 and it never concludes.

Gurren Lagann is way over the top. There's a major turning point and gets much better.

I've tried to avoid Mechas, other than the few common exceptions, like Neon Genesis Evangelon and Full Metal Panic (The second season Fumoffu is hilarious). But after watching Code Geass (a must see), I decided to give it a chance and watched Macross Frontier and Gundam 00. Gundam was ok... didn't care to watch the second season, but I really like Macross Frontier. Ha, I wasn't expecting a musical.

Followed Naruto from the start till they started the fillers. Dropped it till Shippuuden came out... then dropped again because of it's snail ass pace. Though I did watch the Kakashi Chronicles (episode 119 and 120). Every Naruto fan should, even if have already dropped it already, like me Wink

How I was, only seen the classics like Ninja Scrolls. And actually avoided it for years, even with my otaku friends trying to force me to watch Akira. Then one day with a lot of spare time watched the Academy Award Winner: Spirited Away. Great children story. So checked Usenet for more which led me to torrents to an ongoing fansub release of Gunslinger Girl, and then I was hooked...not only to anime but also to torrents and the world of fansubs. And by coincidence, one of the advertising banners on this site is for Gunslinger Girl by Funimation. Don't watch the second season...it's an abomination of the original.

I live on anime, and keep current with ongoing releases.

Yup ... Streetfigher II style game.

Wasn't the best to be honest. They released it at the height of the SF II craze on the SNES (I wasted about 2 years of my life playing it non-stop with a group of my friends!) when people were churning out SFII clones left right and centre ....

I actually bought my SNES initially so I could play SFII ... no other reason!

Of course then I discovered Mario Kart ..... and so on.

I have about 9 consoles now .... all still working, most of them still connected to the main TV in my living room (an N64 connected to a 40" LCD using RF looks pretty bad now next to an Xbox360 via HDMI ... lol) .... with god knows how many games .... hundreds .... thousands if you count my MAME emulator! geek

Although old, Fist of the North Star is still my favorite anime. My username is a mix of Kenshiro and Kenichi. Kenichi is from another anime series.
