re:brutal combo problem

hello...i have a friend..when it tries to run bc..it says:ERROR NULL..please help him

dude.. need way more information than that....

maybe a couple of screen shots would help

maybe i dont have the right config ...

As redneck-giant99 and Subman wrote, a screenshot of the error and more information about what you're trying to do (creating pupils, launching BC, running fights?) could be useful.
Probably the config.xml file was messed up. Try to run BC with a new config.xml file (directly from the installation package) to see if you still get that error.
Otherwise try to read the FAQ that Subman pointed out.

when i try to create pupils it says error null...i tried to put at my friend..my bc and still dont work..i excepted at error no match found but now??error null?

What happens if you run BC that comes straight from the installation package without any modification of configuration files?
If you then don't get any problem it then means you've messed up some configuration files and you'll have to redo the modifications more carefully.

Please post as well a screenshot of what is shown in the DOS window (not the BC window) when you encounter this error so that I may update the FAQ.

EDIT: Answer to this problem is in the FAQ now (you didn't specify both master names).
