Sure there are consolation prizes. Here, have a pat on the back from Luminous and an e-tissue. To be serious, I was hoping for some contributions to the prize pool since it just isn't fun for me to give out pupils to this many brutes on my own. A big THANK YOU to Rygl for chipping in 50 pupils for the champ. I'll give 50 of my own as well so that's a 100 pupils for the champ plus an "Ultimate Lvl 120 Champ" sig. And you get to be immortalized in the forum's biggest spammer's sig (check forum statistics for post counts this month  ). | How about an update on who is still in this tourney and how many brutes you still have in the running? For Team Luminous: 1 eliminated 1 in the bottom bracket 2 in the top bracket However, since I've already simulated all my matches, at the end of this round.... - Spoiler:

Started with 2 max (I think) but then the vote to have the tourney expanded won out so then it was 1 brute per round of sign-up until all spots were filled. It took 4 rounds so it ended up being 4 brutes max. :) Quoting this in case Suiseseki misses it: - LuminousOne wrote:

| Missed the first round of signups but managed to get three in. After the third round, one is left: jack-hampton (div 2) - Win; Win; Loss, Win, Loss --> out in rnd 3-2 (disappointing after nearly beating cometviking in rnd 3 top bracket to advance to round 4 especially with this being hands down my most fun brute to watch at high levels)teen-wolf-4 (div 2) - Loss (to jack-hampton), Win; Win, Loss --> out in rnd 2-2 a7fxr0kq23 (div 1) - 3 wins --> alive top bracket round 4 The only part of this format I don't care for is the possibility to play 3 opponents in a row using the same seeds. Is there a reason the x-2 intermediary matches in the lower brackets are done at the end of a round rather than in tandem with the upper bracket during the beginning of the next round? It's been nagging at me and my brain is quite bogged down today so I feel as though I'm overlooking something obvious. Don't think I'll be going much further but not bad for my first tourney plus my last remaining entrant has already defeated illmove14 so I've really already pulled off an astounding accomplishment in my mind. esc-g | |

| Either way works I guess. I just made up round x-2 on the spot when we first came to it. lol. This is the first double elimination tourney I've hosted (and participated in) so I wasn't sure what to expect either. I'm actually surprised it's gone as smoothly as it has so far. I'd figured more people but would complain but so far it's been pretty good. I try to make it as simple as possible for everyone by giving you guys "current matches" to do so even if you can't follow the format, you can still just do the matches you're assigned. Probably not going to have another double elimination tourney anytime soon though. Too much work.  | |
