Considering the Mug's multi-hit properties, can you imagine how much dmg a brute with mug, martial arts, herculean str, and tornado of blows could throw at you? Would be pretty cool.

So, the mug isnt that bad...
but comparing what a mug does with all that skills with a flail + herculean strength + tornado of blows, it is nothing
and i've seen much more flails than mugs - guess mugs are rare

Yes obviously the flail has the POTENTIAL to be more devastating. But the main advantage of the mug is it has a greater chance to multi hit, probably a greater blocking/dodging percentage and it is much harder to dodge.

Just saw an interesting footnote to the ballerines skill. If the brute responds to the first attack with a 6th sense counter, then ballerines will invoke on the second attack. This is much the same as when the brute gets netted at the start, but it's interesting that 6th takes precedence:

I wonder if this is also the case when your brute goes first and makes a counter with a medium or long weapon? My guess would be yes but I haven't paid attention enough to see it.

I know that if your ballerine brute is under the net, you will dodge the second hit. Same thing for marteau pilon if you're still alive.

I think it's the same for counter.

Chef is good at beating ninjas in training, but since it doesn't work in tourneys, it's practically no good.

chef is useless especially if your enemy had immortal

Back Up sucks too. They only stay around for 1.5 meele rounds then leave.

And they ain't in the tourney for you.

Sometimes the backup will stay until the fight is over and it can also protect you from heavy damage

hostility - pugnacious
bodybuilder - strong arm
relentless - implacable
