no he's levelling very slowly like me so he still has 6-7 more levels and is n.1

I said WITH the top brutes in the tourney, those newest BLs didnt obviously beat the top brutes...

Without the BC working, its much slower to level up now

No ofc not but even w/o the insane lvl 600's and so forth there's plenty of competition from others and the one DoC that makes it through deserves the same credit as any other BL, thfpn had some good match ups which he could've lost but in prevailed instead.
I had a look at my winning run and faced higher lvl opponents like Grefire, Onedov & Axtract at 316 you only need the luck of 1) big guns finnishing each other off before semi finals and 2) end up in the other pool than the 1 or 2 lvl 600's+ who signed up.
Ofc this tourney was a bit different but it could have been vng vs thfpn and st would've been BL now

The other brutes that made BL recently got either a lucky draw, lucky seed(s) or a combination of both.

There were plenty good brutes in the 250-400 range in the tourney and you still had to get past all them to make BL.
