Okay, a first TIP which will cost 2 points ;-)

The game was first released in 1986 on Commodore Amiga.
The world was huge (over 300x300 screens) without loading screens, and all this on a 3.5' floppy disk.
Not the very first RPG (Ultima was first, 1981), but this one featured incredible graphics for that time. It took many years until another RPG could come close to that game.

Let me know if it's still too difficult. I'll then reveal the name of the publisher.

Bard's Tale is a first-person RPG with much inferior graphics than this game.

But the game title contains "Tale" as well ;-)
