They stopped the access to MT sites. I think they closed little error by their page.

We will see who is smarter! MT or the guys from BC-Team :-)

Oh, I think they know for very long how to stop BC.
Just as an example BC fights are not stored in order to relieve a bit MT servers. So they can easily identify BC actions.

If BC was running for so long that's just because MT decided to allow BC and such.

We'll see what happens.

EDIT: one way to bypass the protection that forbids any application (i.e. Brutal Combo) to download data from MT pages would be to change the application identifier while sending requests on the web. That way MT servers would believe it is not BC that is requesting some data but a player from their web browser. I however don't know if Java can do this.

Looks like the BC server is running again.
But because no data can be downloaded from the MT webpages then BC cannot find a match...

We'll see if Dentdesabre wants to bypass this, or not ;-)

Ok, did a bit of reading and the good news is that the new MT protection can be rather easily bypassed.

What MT is most likely now doing: they are identifying the applications that want to download their pages using the application user-agent header in HTTP requests. This means that they check "Who is downloading my pages?" If it is not a web-browser, then MT will send a BE page to the tool instead of the cell (for example).

But user-agent identifications can be controled in the code of the tools.
This means there's a way for dentdesabre to bypass this and get BC running again.

As an example the web-crawler WinHTTrack can download the brute cells with the current protection set up by MT. There are even some open source Java crawlers out there in order to get an idea of the code to use in BC.

EDIT: that's not the user-agent header but the "Accept-Language"="en-gb,en-us" header. Thanks Indre!

I can't. I'm not the coder of BC.
DentDeSabre will decide if he wants to do it.
I can try for my own tools (.net and VBA), but that's all.

They are now checking the "Accept-Language" header field. Also, some time ago they forced using of "Accept-Encoding: deflate", but I think BC must have implemented that already.
