most people say meditation without sang is bad
but i think what works better is shield-contre

i have 2 meditation+shield contre, and i cant notice the-200 init at all

this is not because of the contre but because lower than 35 speed
brutes meditation and lower than 35 speed wont get affected by the -200 init much

i know most will disagree, but im not talking from air, ive studied mybrutes very carefully, and pretty sure of what im saying

i mean the main thing about meditation and sang chaud is just to avoid the opponent getting 2 free attacks at the start of the fight because they can be devastating.

If you have a shield and counter, or feline agi and untouch, or ballerines... they all serve a similar chance to avoid the original problem of meditation.

How fast your brute becomes after that point is a secondary concern.

If brutes in BL rank can level up forever, I think most people will want meditation at some point because of the extreme stat boost

I don't think medi sucks. But you need something to compensate for the bloody thirst of the opponent at the start. And if he has sang chaud urgggggg, pray or get an armor/increvable...

The stat boost is godly indeed. I would be viable with a very good defense. And It would allow somehow to overcome the minus spd of armor and immortal. (dont think about kitty at all XD Very Happy

)

For me, the main problem is : what's exactly initiative? and does its impact only last for the start?

here , your init can be noticed

higher than 35+ speed

but i see in first and last fight when u got the shield at 15-16 its pretty much better than attacking first aint it?
my str queen usually attaks first

Well I have always compared medit to a diesel engine. You can have a better brute, if you have the third match scenario... you'll get screwed in a tourney. An you have quite a number of sang chaud brutes...

Arg, it's her "sister" on this account who has renforts.
If I had at least shuri, I could manage to win some fights...

What's quite funny is that I have a vita brute (kitty), a speedy brute (this one), a str brute (another one you'll discover when she will win her tourney after a very bad subpath !!! Evil or Very Mad

).

I just wait for the agi brute^^. I like it when my brutes jump.

I took meditation as my first skill just in the hope of extreme luck getting backup on next levelups (which of coursedid not happen...)

I was prepared to my ass kicked a lot because I dont have first strike. But strangelly my brute has no weapons no MA no first strike and she still manages to fight 8-9 fights per day (she is low rank though - finger flicker).
She got Lightning Bolt - which took her speed to 41, but other than that have nothing.

Fists of Furry

Lightning Bolt
6th sense

I dont know how she wins so much. Actually she wins around as many as my flail only brute (apparently only flail isnt enugh to win 10 times a day...). And I have brutes that I would describe as much better than her, still they win less than she does. Does she have some good skill combo or something? Is this just some extreme streak of luck for her or what?

It makes me wonder because I actually declined recoinaisance many times in my other brutes destinies, so maybe I should take this skill even without first strike?

Also - after I take it does it add +150% each time I choose +3speed at levelup or is it a one time thing (if it is one time - then the longer I wait with accpting it - the better my speed gai will be)

Really not a good brute. And previous rank she was crappy too. Still she wins a lot now that I took recoinaisance.

I always pick oppenents who have it and hardly lose. Razz

Lightning Bolt and Fists of Fury is a good combination with meditation though.

After ranking up from padavan - she had only 17 victories (I think that she got really lucky ranking at such low level). And now she will soon reach 100 victories at current rank...

The reason why she's good now is she has a good combination of skills.
Her extremely high health points help her to stand the initiative penalty. After that she will attack a lot and counter attacks with her 6th sense skill. :)

Agility isn't that important as speed. You don't need to hit every strike with the flail. Wink
