Level 37: Tete-de-fer! This is the best boost I've seen since Herc back at level 24. Punchy's two main problems are the whip and the knife, especially the whip because every voleur steals it from him. This skill should significantly reduce the number of hits he takes from those weapons. And it goes nicely with contre which gives him a bit of blocking skill. That and Vandalisme will empty out my opponents' weapons pretty quickly. Those two plus Cri means that my fights will be reduced to punching contests very quickly.

So, rating the skills he's got since 24 in terms of a % boost, I'd say Cri-qui-poutre is 10%, Chien A about 5%, Contre 10%, Vandalisme 10%, and Tete-de-fer I expect to be about 25%. I can't wait to use this against Chuck's leek and get hit with one leek followed by four punches!

Thanks, Tama. No, I'm not claiming PunchDrunk is the best untouchable. Even if you rolled back Kitty to level 37, after intouchable but before potion tragique, maitre, bouclier, and contre, she'd still probably beat Punchy 9/10. But you're so far ahead right now I haven't seen you in my arena in two months. So stop playing for three months, let me catch up and get my own bouclier, potion, and maitre, and we'll see who's better then!

Last two levels I've taken 3 Rapidite instead of some crappy weapon. But I did hit the finals in the tourney today and got beat by a level 46.

Ugh. Wish I could say it was a bad seed but he was just all over me with the combos. Anyhow, looking forward to a reset and will probably change path at level 27, refusing the dog. I will give up vandalisme, contre, and tete-de-fer. My other choice is to keep dog, contre and vandalisme and change at 33, in the hope of getting bouclier to go with contre. But I think that's a slim shot.

playing since release (with some breaks, but playing for a long time now) on several accounts, now reduced to one account with 5 brutes I'm still searching for an untouchable brute

about your plans for punchy, i dont think he will have to reach lvl27 to win a 2nd BL tourney.
all of the brutes who had registered and reseted "like kitty" will be maximum lvl25 when punchy will reset to lvl1 and maybe get to lvl10 depending when he is going to win his first BL tourney.
so my idea is that there wont be high lvl brutes in BL like right now, unless they have desided to not join the BL tournaments at all.

Well, you're forgetting that Punchy doesn't use jetons any more, so I'm going to be a lot slower than most when getting my levels back. And that's fine, because Punchy is a sort of "barely elite" brute who really can't stand up with the top 20. (Unless Tama takes a new path and Kitty starts to suck :)) I'm currently winning 10 fights a day pretty regularly and I could win 20, but once I get my ear it'll be back to slogging again. So I'm not in such a rush.

Punchy has lost the finals three times now; he's currently in a really tough bracket. I've got a warm-up in the first round but then I face the winner of Numero.2 vs. Ayhana, and Ayhana is the tougher match there but I can beat them both. After that, it's almost certainly Lapsinator (unless Djanfi pulls an upset) who will most probably beat me. If I pull the upset there I'll walk over AdriBob's entry but then face Ha0_91 who could kill me instantly with her marteau-pilon. The other half is a cake-walk for Lysette and Gwen le zozo, neither of whom can beat me. So wish me luck!

And he got beat by Lapsinator. And again by Moxane. Boy, I'm resenting those folks who have clearly weaker brutes -- Deconnexion, Ikhesef, yann12500 and so forth -- and yet they have already won their ears. Clearly this wouldn't be happening if more of the truly elite brutes were entering the tourneys.

I am also reminded once again of how easy it is for PunchDrunk to catch a bad seed.

Been a long time since I posted. Punchy has been working his way back up through the levels after winning his first ear, and has won his second ear tourney but I haven't ranked him because I'm trying to find out his destiny after level 27. That was the spot where I picked a dog, and ended up with an assortment of decent skills: contre, vandalisme, tete-de-fer and a bunch of crappy stats by level 40. So I thought I could do better without the dog, I made it back to level 27 and refused it, now I'm level 28 and got +3 Agilite vs. +2 Force/+1 Endurance. I'm wary of too much agility after the path where I got up to 57 and it didn't help me any, so I took the other path.

Current stats are Vie 162, Force 18, Agilite 39, Rapidite 9. Here's a recent fight:
